Am I Taking Crazy Pills????
So its about 8:30PM on Friday night right now. I'm watching the US House of Representatives live right now on C-SPAN. Haven't done thing in awhile. I almost wish I didn't.
I'm completely convinced that the majority of the Republican party has completely lost their minds. Its just insane. I feel like banging my head against the wall during every 2 minute speech given by a Republican.
Every single one of them so far has simply said something along the lines of "a lot of people have come down here and said that the President lied about pre-war intelligence. and those were the same people that voted for the war to begin with".
Do they completely refuse to accept the possibility that the Democrats voted for the war based on FAULT INTELLIGENCE????
Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) right now is trying to compare the mission in Afghanistan with the war in Iraq. Only problem with this in my opinion is that we knew that Afghanistan supplied terrorist training that directly caused an attack on the U.S. Bush & pals tried to say that Iraq did the same thing, but were proven wrong. I don't see any parallels besides the fact that both countries were under oppressive rule. But if we went around "liberating" every oppressive regime, we'd be in Africa for years on end.
Back to listening the politicians.

I must be takin crazier pills cause I watched the same at 3am my time.
unfortunately, i've given up getting too involved/wrapped up with the politics of this country.
its sad that its become this way, but I, like you, have become increasingly fed up and frustrated with the way things seem to be in washington. coupled with the fact that I feel powerless to do anything about it, and the end result is my apathy.
